Aim: This restaurant’s original menu was cluttered and hard to read. Customers weren’t noticing specials, and the layout didn’t reflect the energy of the brand.

Discovery Phase:

I visited Rico’s Slushies in person to understand the brand experience and how customers interacted with the space. I reviewed their existing branding to ensure the new menu felt consistent while highlighting their bold, playful energy.

Concept Development:

I studied competitors and looked at how menus could drive sales. I noted what worked (clear layouts, bold highlights) and what slowed customers down (clutter, hard-to-read fonts).  Using this research I sent over the first draft.

Refinement:

The client approved the first draft, and I took the design further by adding custom illustrations to bring the menu to life. The illustrations made the layout more engaging, added personality, and enhanced the playful energy of Rico’s Slushies.

Implementation:

The final menu design was delivered as print-ready files, making it easy for the client to put into use immediately. The refreshed design aligned with Rico’s Slushies’ brand personality while improving readability and customer flow.

The client loved the menu and shared that it made the ordering experience smoother, while boosting sales for featured items.
